Prague
The capital of the Czech Republic. The historical core of Prague was inscribed on the UNESCO´s World Heritage List, and you can visit here highlights such as the Prague Castle, the Lesser Town, the Charles Bridge, Old Town and the Jewish Quarter Josefov, the New Town, and Vysehrad National Culture Monument. These historical sights can´t be missing on any travelling list. Around Prague
During a-half-day- trip you can visit any of the castles around Prague, which are within a-one-hour-bus ride from Prague – Karlštejn Castle, Konopiště Castle, Křivoklát Castle from the Middle Ages, and Chateau Dobříš – a fine example of Rococo architecture. You are going to appear in the past and get a view of the lifestyle in that time and that not only of the royal family and the merchants. It is going to be an extraordinary experience for you.
Terezín Memorial – originally a military fortress founded by Josef II. to honour of his mother Maria Theresia where the biggest prison governed by the Gestapo – Nazi Germany´s secret police on the Czech territory was situated during the Second World War. You are going to have a chance to really get to know the history of the Holocaust while you are visiting the Ghetto Muzeum and the Small Fortress.
Nižbor Glassworks – this 100 years old factory, located near Prague, will introduce you to the traditional production of glass crystal on the Czech territory.
Kutná Hora – from the perspective of the Czech history Kutná Hora is one of the most important city, while its historical centre was enlisted in the UNESCO´s World Heritage List. Take a look at the uniquely preserved urban structure from the Middle Ages or go for a walk into the Medieval silver mine with a lamp, helmet and a mining shirt. The silver was used for minting of famous coins – Prague Groschen in the past.

Český Krumlov
An ideal place to visit for a weekend stay or a two-day -trip from Prague. Or definitely a must stop while travelling to Vienna or Salzburg. Český Krumlov represents the most significant city from the touristic point of view and in 1992 this pearl of Renaissance was enlisted on the World Cultural Heritage List – UNESCO. You can enjoy walking through romantic streets with beautiful historical buildings. You will be stunned by the second largest castle complex in the Czech Republic with its history reaching up to the 13th century. Its architectonic level and cultural tradition is viewed as one of the most beautiful historical sites in Europe. Enjoy visiting museums, exhibitions, theatre performances, festivals and city celebrations. Take an advantage of the amazing gastronomical offer in local cafes, restaurants or traditional pubs.

České Budějovice and the surroundings area
Take a walk at one of the biggest squares in Europe and try a glass of original Budweiser Beer during the tour in the brewery in České Budějovice. It is worth to stop in Holašovice – an authentic old Bohemian village with a complex of the unique Rural Baroque houses, which was enlisted to the UNESCO´s World Cultural Heritage List. On the way from Prague to Český Krumlov don’t miss a fairy tale Hluboká Castle (just 14 km from České Budějovice) and experience the atmosphere of the amazing and mystical rooms, which are furnished unlike other Czech castles. The brightly red castle Červená Lhota is definitely worth a visit as well as the Tábor – city full of small Medieval streets that was built as a model of a perfect city, where everyone was equal.

- A visit in the Hussite Museum with the exhibition related to Hussite movement and the person of John Hus, the reformer, who inspired important European reformers such as Martin Luther or John Calvin. Šumava National Park / Böhmerwald
The Sumava Mountains is one of the oldest mountains in Europe that lay in the southwest of the Czech Republic offering not only skiing, but also beautiful pedestrian or cycling tours, relaxing at places, where the nature is still keeping its natural character. Forests, fresh air, glacial lakes, mosses, and mountain meadows, Boubín Virgin Forest, that is older than the human race itself, all of this and more is waiting for you.

Pilsen City
Everyone knows Plzeňský Prazdroj – the Pilsner Urquell Beer. Go take a walk through the interesting exposition and try our national drink directly from the tank. People who love historical sights and Jewish history should not miss the Great Synagogue, the Republic Square and the St. Bartholomew´s Cathedral.
Another important city in Western Bohemia is Domažlice which the city of the Chodsko region. Here you will be attracted by the traditional Chodsko hand-painted ceramics and hand-made Chodsko cakes.

Western Bohemia – Traditional Czech Spa Region
Karlovy Vary Town – parade of spa elegance, impressive colonnades and exclusive spa houses. A splendid town was built on the hills surrounded by the stream Teplá offering a wide range of relaxing and wellness possibilities. The International Film Festival allows you to touch stars who are strolling on the red carpet here every July. The famous Czech liqueur surrounded by secret Becherovka made of herbs and spices will be introduced to you. Thanks to the unique spa architecture the town belongs to one of the most beautiful cities.
When you are visiting Karlovy Vary definitely take a trip to the nearby Bečov nad Teplou, where the surprise is waiting for you and that in the Bečov Castle, where the second greatest treasure after coronation jewels – the St. Maurus Reliquiary is on show.
Mariánské Lázně Spa Town – beautiful spa buildings, parks full of flowers and trees, where the spa guests take walks all day and drink the healing water from the local streams. This place will make you feel like you have just travelled 100 years into the past.
Františkovy Lázně Spa Town – last but not least, the beautiful spa city – the third from the Spa Triangle in West Bohemia – offers Neoclassicist colonnades, parks and places that are great for relaxation.

Mountain Areas
The Krkonoše Mountains, the Jizerské Mountains, the Orlické Mountains, in Moravia the Jeseníky Mountains, and the Beskydy are mountain areas that are on the borders between the Czech Republic and Poland. In winter, they offer skiing and in summer various ways of relaxation, sport activities, wellness, etc.
Žďár nad Sázavou, Třebíč, Telč
All of these places are inscribed in the UNESCO´s World Cultural Heritage List.
The Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora is the pearl of Santini´s architecture. Santini was the only Baroque architect using Gothic morphology and you can still find here an original Baroque building provided with 5 entrances, 5 chapels, 5 altars, 5 stars and 5 angels on the main altar with the virtuous game of lights and shadows with a certain mystical feeling. The church is easily reachable from the town Žďár nad Sázavou.
Třebíč – a town hiding one of the biggest preserved Jewish Quarter in all of Europe – inscribed on the UNESCO´s World Heritage List as the first Jewish memorial outside Israel. Explore amazing 120 houses, two synagogues and a Jewish cemetery in the Trebic Ghetto.
Fairy tale-like Telč town with one of the most beautiful squares lining with houses which represents a perfect example of Italian Renaissance to the North of the Alps, and which is recommended by many experienced travellers as a must see place.

Litomyšl, Olomouc, Kroměříž
Litomyšl – the town where the Czech most renowned composer Bedřich Smetana was born. Nowadays you can find one of the most beautiful castles in East Bohemia enlisted on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, which is inviting mainly because of the sgraffito decoration and the romantic gardens.
Olomouc – the city which hides a lot of secrets. When exploring the city you just simply cannot miss the biggest Baroque column in central Europe of the Holy Trinity enlisted as the UNESCO World Heritage Monument.

South Moravia Region
South Moravia is one of the places where you simply feel like paradise on earth. Blooming meadows, romantic ruins of the Medieval castles, crystal clear ponds, sun lit never ending orchards and vineyards. This eastern part of the Czech Republic still preserved its traditional folklore traditions. The wine lovers will surely enjoy wine tasting in one of many wine cellars. Do not miss the Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape – majestic chateaux surrounded by the largest landscape garden in the world and inscribed as the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. It is a place where the castles and for centuries built parks are filled with little romantic buildings, ponds and beautiful places. When spending some time in Brno – the central town of Southern Moravia – you do not want to miss the visit of Villa Tugendhat -the architectural jewel which is one of the four most important buildings of its kind in the world nowadays. It is the only examplar of modern architecture in the Czech Republic recorded on the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage.
Save some time for a trip to one of the most beautiful castles of this region – Buchlov.
Highlights of the region:
- A boat ride on the longest underground river Punkva through mysterious Punkva Caves in the biggest karst area in the Czech Republic – the Moravian Karst.
- Became a war observer during a reconstruction of the Battle of Austerlitz called as Battle of the Three Emperors – Napoleon, Alexander and Francis I. of Austria, which meant Napoleon’s greatest victory. Nowadays the place is named Slavkov. The reconstruction of the battle includes about 1000 soldiers in characteristic robes, 60 horses and 15 cannons.
- Enjoy folklore living tradition within celebration The Ride of the Kings, which is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
